When 1 person comes to buy 1 item then there will be fair price, discounts, free bees. when 10 people come to buy 1 item then there will be MRP price. When 100 people come to 1 item then MRP label changes and high prices are visible. Its 2021 but still the offline market price is high.
Cost push Inflation: There is a slow crawl in prices of the laptop since the month of April. I personally observed a 20% hike in April month and more 30% hike in may month and so on. This is due to simple economics that is an increase in demand and decrease in supply. Increase in demand due to the world shifting towards "work from home" and reduce in supply due to "corona and halt in manufacturing". In the future, not just the laptop industry but also every industry related to work from home like internet services will be increased.
Times have changed. The shift to online is increased.

Generally, the MRP in India is higher for laptops and the selling prices are far lower. Online has more competitive pricing than showroom pricing. But due to the lack of supply, these online sellers have hiked their prices. Amazon, Dell, hp, Lenovo etc.., are finding a solution to fill the demand and has taken steps but we all know that due to need and demand we are not going to see a reduction in laptops.
So, friends, there will be no reduction in laptop pricing in the near future. It is a fresh market for 2020 due to the increased demand. This will be a new industry as a new habit of work from home and will see active innovation here. Just like phones, there will be a division for mid-range and high end.
