Grid Solar Power by Indian Government

In India, especially south India we have plenty of solar energy. We are blessed and lucky to have rich sunlight. 90% of the time we have rich sunlight but people do not have knowledge and trust on private players to invest in solar energy and it is not optimal solution.

Idea: Renting the roof top or top floor and Install Solar panels on them by the Government and attach them to the grid. Supply electricity to house hold normally by On and Off Grid when ever required. Different economic and ecological advantages of solar in depth.

If the Government backs this there will be Advantages of Grid and Government backed Electricity

  1. Optimum utilization of electricity from both panels and southern power as they communicate, ease data sharing when to produce regular electricity.
  2. Utilization of natural solar power, which is going wasted.
  3. Boosts Electric vehicles utilization.
  4. Generates new jobs in the area.
  5. Income to the government from electricity.
  6. Optimum utilization of electricity from panels.
  7. Less equipment needed just installing our panels to direct government lines or poles or meters. No need for controller, regulator, battery, UPS etc.., No need to save energy in batteries.
  8. No need to buy electricity from other states. Less dependency.
  9. Less land cost as no body uses roof top.
  10. Boosts economy.
  11. Boost Aeroponics - self harvesting of fruits and vegetables
  12. Utilization of unused space on roof top.
  13. Reduces coal usage during day time
  14. Reduces heat produced due to coal thus reducing overall temperature

When I interviewed few individuals why they do not go for solar energy the answer I got was

  1. why invest even though the return is covered in just 3-4 years
  2. I live for rent why invest in some thing I do not own
  3. I do not understand the technology
  4. I do no have time to maintain the solar and battery
  5. I am happy with government service provider and price
  6. I cannot utilize optimum energy it would be better if I share during peak hours and
  7. saving energy requires lots of batteries and they are difficult to maintain
Solution:
  1. Grid System so that we can share electricity during peak hours
  2. Hybrid both Grid and Government Electricity work together to produce and supply electricity

I have spent time in solar business and faced substantial loss in money and time

  1. People do not trust private companies.
  2. People do not understand technology.
  3. People do not have money. It would be better if there is loan facility. But this also will not boost and not a good idea
