I love the concept of tesla car on top of CPU and Hardware inside the motor, new battery design, auto pilot, auto parking features I like the engineering behind the electric vehicle. They have used magnets stacked together to the rotor at an inclined position instead of induction motor. There is a further room for improvement like directly having solar panels on top of our house and top of the car as India has abundance in solar energy. Building top have direct sunlight access in India instead of blocking sunlight in cities. Lots of petrol is also wasted in Indian Traffic as the engines are on. Petrol wastage during travel, oil maintenance and transporting. It is a gift for non oil producing countries especially in India because it has abundant sunlight and lots of room for solar energy.
Idea for EV: Pulling uses less energy than pushing. Putting mini motors or magnets on the front wheel of the car adds as push to car for inclined hill rides or reverse breaks and reduce the overall energy consumption. I know it is impossible to put big engine and disrupts wheel turning so I said inside the front wheels.
We need a break through in the field of solar panels and wind energy. Hope Elon Musk enters this field too (instead of space exploration) to save the planet and reduce stress of population does not become a boon to earth. Solar panels needed to evolved to increase the absorption rate and the same goes to batteries.
The True electric vehicle is efficient only if the power is utilized from solar panels instead of electricity produced from coal and hydro to reduce carbon foot print. Further optimization and evolution is needed in Tesla car such as smaller screen to save energy and more custom batteries to add-on if needed.
This is not to undermine Tesla or Elon but the price segment in India is bit higher. The ultimate goal of using electric vehicle is to save planet and we cannot do so by higher price mark. It does not have complicated engines like normal vehicles so why the high price?
